When we began developing the new S-Works Turbo RapidAir tires with Deceuninck–Quick-Step, they had some hefty goals for us: Make the all-around fastest, lightest, and most puncture-resistant tires we’ve ever made. And of course, they had to have the ride quality of tubular. Sure, it wasn't easy, but one ride on them and you'll never want to be on anything else. Just ask our World Tour teams—no more tubular for them.

The new design came from years of in-house development and testing. It features a flexible center construction that smooths out road imperfections and keeps rolling resistance low, while our exclusive GRIPTON® compound leads the industry in both speed and cornering grip. Next up, the wide tread design and stable sidewalls deliver precise handling while diving hard into corners. And finally, the cross-woven Blackbelt™ breaker is cut-resistant, but in the chance, you do get a puncture, our new sealant plugs holes almost instantly.

But what about the set-up? RapidAir tires seat easily on any tubeless-ready rim, and they can often be seated with just a floor pump.

The Tracer Pro 2Bliss Ready combines the best from two worlds and redefines your personal cyclocross experience in dry and intermediate conditions. A stretched, properly raised knob configuration across the center and transition area provides many edges to keep you in complete control while turning, braking, and for your dismounts/mounts. Continental's tough Grand Prix 4-Season is even tougher with the addition of the Vectran™ anti-puncture breaker. This all-year training and road racing tire offers the ultimate combination of speed, low weight, and all-weather performance, combined with excellent puncture and sidewall protection.

The stealth, special edition black casing is equipped with DuraSkin sidewall reinforcement for protection against cuts and abrasion. The Vectran breaker wards off flats but is also supple for less rolling resistance and greater comfort than other puncture-resistant barriers.

the Grand Prix 4 Season Clincher Tire is a step above the tried and true 4000 when it comes to durability and flat resistance. It is ideal for racing in unpredictable conditions, and it’s even better for training when the winter muck starts to thaw.

The Grand Prix 4 tire features a 330TPI (threads per square inch) double layer Vectran belt under the tread. This proprietary fabric is a liquid-crystalline polymer that features high levels of tear resistance at a low weight, making it ideal for racing as well as training. To take the Grand Prix 4 to the next level of rider satisfaction and beef up puncture resistance, Continental reinforced the sidewall with DuraSkin, a polyamide fabric that keeps road grit and grime from penetrating to the tube.

TREAD

The rubber belt, the design of its pattern, and the cross-section all are at the heart of the performance of a tire: the contact point between the ground and the bicycle. It is made of a mix of carefully selected and balanced chemical elements and engineered grooves, that greatly contribute to the tire's outstanding performance. Made from our innovative SmartNET™ Silica and ICS and FGD technologies, it provides all-round cycling excellence.

RUBBER COMPOUND

Derived from our vast motorsport experience, on both 4 wheels and 2 wheels, whether on- or off-road, Pirelli’s SmartNET™ Silica is an important innovation in bicycle tire compound technology: thanks to its nano-rod conformation and the resulting network generation, coupled with the natural chemical water affinity of the Silica itself, it solves the traditional trade-off of rubber compounds, ranking high on opposite features such as rolling and wet grip, mileage, and puncture protection.

CONSTRUCTION

Developed over a 127tpi casing, our tread features Pirelli Functional Design Groove and Ideal Contour Shaping technologies: the casing textile is designed to match contour for optimal footprint, while different crown and sidewall radii guarantee controlled and specific tire deformation at different speed and lean angles. On top of this, our lightning bolt groove design, derived from our experience in motorbike racing tire design, adds optimal water drainage at different angles and force loads, while ensuring low noise output and quick warm up times, for immediate maximum grip levels, period.

BREAKER

An aramid fiber belt located underneath the tread in order to protect the casing from sharp objects: aramid is a fiber with high cut and abrasion resistance. Its light weight and flexibility also ensure rolling efficiency and overall performance of the tyre.
